The information schema" is an ANSI standard set of read-only views which provide information about all of the tables, views, columns, and procedures in a database". In this post I show you how you can use the information schema to generate SQL code that would otherwise be tedious to write. Most SQL editors have options to generate generic SQL statements but I have found that these generated statements will not cover all use cases in my development flow.
